February was a month full of weathery-wonder. Within the first week, it was snowing here in Viterbo more than it had snowed in the past 30 years. I’m not sure exactly how much snow we got, but I do know we were without 5 days of school because of the downpour! The entire town shut down and walking in what are usually crowded streets became a sledding haven, while the cobblestone alleys became ski slopes—it was a sight to see! After the fun of the snow, I travelled with my school on a 10-day educational excursion to Sicily, where we traveled by boat and bus to explore 12 cities, each of which contained an ancient story, art historical monument, and/or both! Greeted by sunshine, we started East in Catania, then making our way down through Agrigento, and finishing up in Palermo (just to name a few cities), I was exhausted upon my return to school on the 23rd. Between the snow days and our trip, February went by so quickly! Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams for their accomplishments in the TSSAA Tournament! I love bragging about y’all to my classmates here.
Until next month!
