Sorry for the late post! December came and went so quickly, I’ve barely had time to keep up! Anyways, December is always a very festive month in Italy with street décor and daily festivals, as in the day of Christmas tree decorating that took place on the 8th. I ventured up to Torino this month, where the 2006 winter Olympics were hosted, for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert with some friends from school, taking a 5 hour train to get there. Also this month, I spent a day touring around Naples with my school, seeing Mount Vesuvius from afar and experiencing a fun a vibrant city even in mid-December. Around the end of December we had many Christmas celebrations, both in and out of school, including the sampling of many Italian Christmas-time sweets such as Pandoro cake and Panetonne.
Over the Holiday Break, I was fortunate enough to be able to come back to the United States and spend Christmas in Nashville with my family and friends. Coming back to Tennessee and truly being home for the holidays was such a wonderful feeling— especially seeing the Titans win on Christmas Eve!
