The 5th graders and their Tom Joy friends definitely had some fun talking about what they thought snowmen do at night!
As part of their service learning project, the 5th grade visits Tom Joy Elementary throughout the year to read and do a craft project with the elementary students. Each time they visit, the students pick a book that they can base a craft around. This time they chose “Snowman at Night”, a book about what fun activities snowmen do at night when no one is watching! After the 5th graders read their book to their friends, they worked together on creating snowmen of their own and sharing what they think their snowmen would do at night. When they were done with their projects, the Tom Joy students took turns reading their favorite books to their Ensworth friends. Check out the pictures below from a fun-filled wintry day!
