Every year the 8th graders nominate leaders in their class to be the orange and black captains for the school year. An Ensworth tradition, these 8 students then give speeches to the whole school on why they would be the best captain for their respective teams. These students demonstrate impressive leadership and team spirit throughout their time at Ensworth. Even though only one girl and one boy from each team can be captain, all the nominees have been team players and would be worthy leaders. This year the 8th grade class nominated for the Orange Team, Josephine Bass and Sarah Crosby, and the boy nominees are Nicky Clifton and Wylie McDougall. For the Black Team, Jordyn Cambridge and Laura Cheek; and the boy nominees are Pryce Wade and Warren Zager.
