Mrs. Schuld’s third grade class had a very special visitor yesterday. Alonso Silva, a Fulbright Fellow at Vanderbilt from Chile, along with his daughter Maria Jesus, shared a presentation with the students on human migration.
Mr. Silva, who is studying Leadership in Public Service, talked to the students about the three different types of migration and why people might decide to leave their home countries for something different. Silva, who is attending Vanderbilt for the year also let his daughter share with the students a little about what school in Chile is like.
What a great opportunity for the class and the Vandy student.
